ITINERARY:
DAY 1. (Saturday)ANTIGUA, GUATEMALA
Airport Transfer
Group transfer to the most beautiful colonial town in Central America.
Individual transfers can be arranged on request.
Antigua is set in the valley of three towering volcanoes and has views like no other city on earth.
From our centrally located Four Star Hotel take time to explore this photographers paradise while your senses absorb this unique explosion of color, culture and volcanoes.
Meet your travel companions for our Welcome Dinner of traditional Guatemalan cuisine.

DAY 2. (Sunday) SAN CRISTOBAL EL ALTO - ANTIGUA GUATEMALA
Breakfast in the village of San Cristobal el Alto where we will bask in the morning light with vistas of Antigua Valley and its erupting volcanoes and coffee farms.
Visit a local Nature Reserve to photograph the amazing bird life including many species of hummingbird.
Guided City Tour of the nearly 500 year old Antigua.
Free time to explore and have lunch.
Salsa Lesson with a professional teacher who will show you how to move like a true Latino and prepare you for your night at leisure



DAY 3. (Monday) IXIMCHE LAKE ATITLAN
After breakfast travel to one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, "Lago Atitlan" where the Mayan culture still lives and breathes.
En-route, take a guided tour of the Mayan City Ruins of Iximche.
Stop in Tecpan for a “Churrasco” lunch.
Arrive at our four star hotel on the shores of the lake in time for the photographer's "Golden Hour".
Dinner tonight is at the hotel with travel companions.


DAY 4. (Tuesday) MAYAN VILLAGES IN ATITLAN
After breakfast with a breathtaking view embark by boat from the hotel for our Guided Tour of Mayan Villages.
Learn about the traditions from the locals, as they teach us about the medicinal properties of the plants, their clothing, cuisine and what life is like at the lake.
This evening we have some downtime before dinner to enjoy the hotel facilities, pool, grounds and maybe even a sunset dip in the lake.



DAY 5. (Wednesday) PANAJACHEL AND COFFEE FARM
Pass some time ambling through the colorful artisan markets of Panajachel before our trip to a local coffee farm.
Before our Guided Tour of the Farm we will savor a delicious lunch followed by a coffee that can't get any fresher.
This region grows some of the most beautiful coffee in the world.
Our guide will take us through the rows of cherry red coffee plants and teach us all about how the world’s favorite drink is created from seed to cup.
Tonight, spend the evening at leisure or join us for an optional excursion with a local chef to learn how to cook traditional Guatemalan food and dine on the roof terrace of a family home.


DAY 6. (Thursday) SPA AMATITLAN - ANTIGUA GUATEMALA
Take a scenic drive to the Santa Teresita Spa.
We will stop for photos of Volcan de Fuego, watch its eruptions and pass by the remains of the villages and towns that were hit in its last big eruptions in 2018.
Watch the landscape and climate completely change as we descend from 1500 meters.
At Santa Teresita Spa we will experience the thermal pools, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, drink fresh smoothies and enjoy a massage with a professional masseuse.
Lunch today is at a local brewery with a tour and tasting included. This brewery is known for its natural setting, spectacular views, delicious food, live music with local musicians and of course, its famous beers!

DAY 7. (Friday) FLIGHT TO PETEN - YAXHA
Take a short 45-minute domestic flight to Peten.
Drop the bags at our hotel on the Island of Flores.
Visit Yaxha National Park, a tropical forest in the north of the country, teeming with wildlife, where the sounds of Howler Monkeys fill the air and colorful birds and butterflies dance under the forest canopy.
From the highest temple photograph an intense sunset to the sound of the roosting birds below.
Return to our perfectly located hotel on picturesque Isla de las Flores where you can spend the evening exploring and photographing the island and enjoying the local restaurants.

DAY 8. (Saturday) VISIT TIKAL AND AFTERNOON FLIGHT TO GUATEMALA CITY
Today is a real tour highlight!
Visit the archaeological site of Tikal. Also known as “The City of Voices”.
Guided tour of the ancient ruins and explore what was one of the most important civilizations on the planet at its height and now is a place of wonder, mystery and beauty.
Photograph the exotic plants and wildlife.
Enjoy a churrasco lunch in the National Park.
Short flight back to Guatemala City and overnight.



Day 9.(Sunday) DEPARTURE DAY
Tour finishes at breakfast.
One of the nicest parts of any trip is that last morning, scrolling through your photos over a slow cup of coffee, while chatting to your new friends about everything that you have just experienced. The exchanging of emails and wondering when you'll meet again.
Travel is just magical!
