Day1: March 30th, 2023 Arrival / Guatemala City Tour - (D)

Meet local photographer who will be escorting you.

Walking tour of the fascinating historic city center finishing with welcome drink in the famous El Portalito Bar before we travel to our restaurant for a welcome dinner


Day 2: March 31st Flight to Flores / Yaxha Sunset Tour - (B/L/D)

Domestic flight to Peten - 45 min

El Sombrero Eco Lodge for lunch, opportunity to photograph the local wildlife including Trogons, Crocodiles, Spider Monkeys, Howler Monkeys.

After included lunch Tour Yaxha National Park.

Photo sunset from the top of a Mayan temple as you listen to the sounds of the tropical birds roosting in the canopy below.

Drive to Jungle Lodge in Tikal National Park.

Dinner included.


Day 3: April 1st Tikal full day tour - (B/D)

Local guide and photographer bring us on a tour through Tikal.

After tour take time to explore and eat.

In the evening and make our way to the Lost World Complex for sunset.

Dinner tonight is included.


Day 4: April 2nd Tikal / Flight to Guatemala City / Lake Atitlan - (B)

OPTIONAL: Walk to one of Tikals temples to photograph the sunrise before breakfast. ($55 per person)

Breakfast and off to the airport for the short flight back to Guatemala City.

Drive to our lake view 4 star hotel at the volcano lined Lake Atitlan.

Dinner included.

3 nights stay.


Day 5: April 3rd Lake Boat tour - (B/L)

Tour of the Mayan villages around the lake.

Included Lunch

Learn about life at the lake, the traditions, Mayan gods, the Women’s Weaving Co-operative, the medicine and plant life around the lake and of course take plenty of time to capture the natural beauty surrounding us and much more.

We return to the hotel before sunset.


Day 6: April 4th Lake Atitlan - (B/D)

Today is a day to relax and recharge.

Take the morning to relax and recharge OR


OPTIONAL Morning Excursion- Private Mayan Fire Ceremony

Travel by boat to San Marcos la Laguna for an ancient Mayan ceremony where we are immersed in the traditional beliefs of the Mayans. A shaman performs and explains everything and we may photograph the event. ($75 per person)

Arrive back to the hotel by lunch time

Highly reccomended!


Included Dinner  tonight in Jose Pinguinos a local favourite for its fun environment, live music and food.


Day 7: April 5th Chichicastenango Market / Antigua Guatemala - (B/L)

Drive to Chichicastenango to visit its huge market.

Arrive early for a tour to capture the traditional morning rituals and watch the local villagers set up for the day.

During the tour we will visit a local cemetery where the colorful tombs are visited every year on Dia de los Muertos.

Included Lunch with local family who make family traditional masks. Learn about traditional masks, traditional dances and folklore.


Day 8: April 6th Antigua Guatemala / Holy Thursday - (B)

Morning Tour of  the most beautiful city in Central America.

Antigua is surrounded by coffee farms and imposing volcanos.

During the tour we will visit churches, parks, cathedrals and more.

Throughout the day you will see the making of Antigua’s famous sawdust carpets as the local families compete to make the most beautiful and colorful carpets of the holy week.


Day 9: April 7th - Food, Drink and Farms - (B/L)

Today is all about local food, farms, coffee and beer.

See and sample the high quality local produce.

It starts with a tour and tasting at a local coffee farm, followed by a tour of an organic macadamia farm.

Finally a tour of a famous local brewery known for its dramatic views and live music where we will sample their beers with dinner included!

We arrive back to our hotel in time to set up our photos of the big processions in the finale of holy week.


Day 10: April 8th Acatenango Volcano Adventure - (B/D)

Grand Finale of an amazing week of photography.

Today we will be driven by 4x4’s through a local farm, up the side of a dormant volcano.

Walk for 30 minutes on flat trail to photograph at sunset, the powerful eruptions from the neighbouring Volcan de Fuego.

Capture the lava explode into the air while you enjoy glasses of prosecco and a picnic sunset dinner as we toast off an unforgettable tour of an inspiring place!


Day 11: April 9th - (B)

Today is transfer Day

Tour ends at breakfast

Take your time and exchange emails and info with new friends.


Nos vemos, gracias and safe home!
